Boks Have Not Changed The Starting Line Up Against Ireland

Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer has kept faith in the same tried and tested starting lineup that blocked a two year winning run of the All Blacks to start against Ireland in their Castle Lager Outgoing Tour opener in Dublin on Saturday. Meyer is keeping the same team for only fifth time in the three years in charge with only one change where Coenie Oosthuizen replaces Marcel van der Merwe, the latter being injured. Meyer was very happy because the selection from the last Test continued.

“We are able to select the same starting team only for the fifth time in the 34th Test since I was appointed as Springbok coach, “Meyer said. “It is pretty much unheard of not making changes to teams in this day and age but we are in this great position. However we should get it recognize against a very difficult Irish side on Saturday. The challenge this week is to win another game although we won the last match. It is necessary to improve our all aspects of play.”
